For over a quarter century, John Edwards has worked in the personal injury litigation arena. John began his legal career representing insurers in injury claims at a large Boise firm. In 1992, John founded his own firm and began a practice focused on representing injured people in claims adverse to insurers.

John speaks fluent Spanish.

John is managing partner at Hepworth Holzer, LLP. The quality of his work shows in the AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rating as a Personal Injury Lawyer he received from fellow members of the bar and Martindale Hubble. John brings a unique set of skills to this practice area and Hepworth Holzer, LLP. Having worked both for and against insurers, he has an understanding of how to present information to the insurance adjusters in a fashion that allows them to pay maximum value on claims. Over the course of his career, he has developed relationships with those whom he opposes based on experience, integrity and trust. John spent 13 years teaching law classes as an adjunct at Boise State University and uses his skills as a teacher to help adverse parties understand the losses sustained by his clients. Its John’s belief that the vast majority of claims, when properly presented (or taught) result in resolution without forcing clients through the time commitment and uncertainties associated with trial. John prides himself in working cases to fair results without unnecessary litigation. When cases cannot be resolved, John Edwards combines efforts with his partners to take cases through trial.

John is a 1981 graduate of Vallivue High School in what was, then, rural Canyon County, Idaho. He grew up working in a small, family-owned business learning valuable lessons about the importance of honesty, integrity, hard work and giving back to community. He attended the University of Idaho, graduating after three years in 1984 with a Political Science degree. While at the University of Idaho, John was involved in student government (Vice-President) and a member of a fraternity in which he held numerous offices. As a student, John was also active in the Moscow community, coaching little league football and basketball, and serving on numerous other community projects. Upon graduation, John spent the better part of three years in Chicago working with a private foundation raising funds for such worthy causes as alcohol awareness education and men’s health issues — topics upon which he frequently lectured. John later attended the University of San Diego School Of Law where he graduated with honors. He remains active in his community through memberships and participation in service and professional organizations.
