John J. Janis of Hepworth Holzer, LLP was inducted as a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL) recently at a ceremony in New Orleans Louisiana.
The ACTL is composed of preeminent members of the Trial Bar from the United States and Canada. Members represent both plaintiffs and defendants in courtrooms across North America. It is recognized as a leading trial lawyers organization in both countries. Fellowship is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.
“This is an incredible honor,” said Janis, “Knowing the quality of people who are members of the ACTL I was humbled by the invitation to join.” “I am proud, pleased and very happy to have John join me and the few other Idaho Fellows in the College” said his partner ACTL Fellow Charlie Hepworth. “John is a worthy member who has fought for our clients his entire career.”
Janis is a former President of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association and was acknowledged as 2015 Plaintiff’s Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers In America. He is also a member, by invitation, of the American Board of Trial Advocates. John also has a black belt in American Kenpo karate and is an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review Rated Personal Injury Lawyer.
“My practice,” Janis noted “Is focused on representing people who have been wronged by others which makes my ACTL membership even a little more special.”
